How long does site survey take?
The project surveyor will meet you at the property. The appointment takes approximately an hour, depending how much detail you would like to discuss. The project surveyor will take some measurements and discuss your specification and individual requirements, in order to provide you with a free quotation.
What happens if my loft is not suitable for a loft conversion?
In an unlikely case, if your loft headroom in not high enough, we can provide you with different solutions. We work with architects who will be able to guide you through the process which may involve the lowering of your first floor ceiling or raising the ridge height. It’s easy to increase ridge height. As long as it conforms with your planning permission/consent. Deeper rafters can go along side original rafters, long enough to reach new ridge position. In any case, we will support your throughout the process.
Do I need to have all the documents in place before scheduling an appointment?
The simple answer is no. Our team can provide you with a full quote including architect services, building control applications, party-wall agreements and any other documents required for your project. However, if you have any documents already in place, we will ask you to email those for our project surveyor before the appointment.
How quickly can you start my project?
Depending on location, we normally have a waiting list for one-two months. However, we sometimes move projects around, as some customers wait for their documents, so you may not need to wait this long.
How long will it take for my project to be completed?
Loft conversions typically take around 12 weeks time to be completed up to plastering stage. However, there are many different factors that can affect the process time. Rear extensions take between 3 and 5 months to be completed, depending on size, specifications etc.
